John Wingblade

John Alfred Wingblade (February 26, 1883 – May 14, 1984) was a provincial politician from Alberta, Canada. He served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1935 to 1963 sitting with the Social Credit caucus in government.
==Political career==
Wingblade ran for a seat to the Alberta Legislature in the 1935 Alberta general election. He stood as a Social Credit candidate in the electoral district of Wetaskiwin. The race was hotly contested between five candidates. On election night Wingblade secured a comfortable majority to win on the first ballot picking up the seat for his party and defeating incumbent Hugh Montgomery who finished second.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=Wetaskiwin results 1935 )
The 1940 Alberta general election would see Wingblade stand for his second term in office. He had two other challenging candidates.
